This internationally recognised transponder code signals unlawful interference. The Boeing 787-9 aircraft landed safely, and all passengers and crew were evacuated for security checks. Air India stated the diversion was due to a perceived security concern, and later confirmed that security agencies had cleared the aircraft. Passengers have since reboarded, with indications suggesting the threat may have been a hoax.
