Rs 61,500 Crore Corridor To Link UP

A new 630-km high-speed corridor will connect Siliguri in West Bengal with Guwahati, Assam, and Shillong, Meghalaya, at a cost of Rs 61,500 crore. The road transport ministry is also developing an expressway from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, to Siliguri. This project aims to provide seamless, high-speed connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and the North Eastern states. The first phase, from Siliguri to Guwahati, will span 400 km and involve an investment of Rs 30,000 crore.

एक नया 630-किमी हाई-स्पीड कॉरिडोर पश्चिम बंगाल के सिलीगुड़ी को असम के गुवाहाटी और मेघालय के शिलांग से 61,500 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से जोड़ेगा। सड़क परिवहन मंत्रालय उत्तर प्रदेश के गोरखपुर से सिलीगुड़ी तक एक एक्सप्रेसवे भी विकसित कर रहा है। इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य उत्तर प्रदेश और पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों के बीच निर्बाध, हाई-स्पीड कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान करना है। सिलीगुड़ी से गुवाहाटी तक का पहला चरण 400 किमी तक फैला होगा और इसमें 30,000 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश शामिल होगा।
