Ladakh's Chief Secretary Ashish Kundra chaired a meeting to review the Union Territory's electric vehicle (EV) adoption framework. The focus was on expanding charging infrastructure, strengthening incentives, and promoting sustainable mobility suited to Ladakh's unique conditions. Discussions included using pollution cess for an EV fund and integrating charging facilities at fuel stations. Kundra stressed the need for a data-driven approach, calling for assessments of vehicle fleets, registrations, costs, and after-sales services to develop practical incentives and a phased transition strategy.

लद्दाख के मुख्य सचिव आशीष कुंद्रा ने केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन (ईवी) अपनाने के ढांचे की समीक्षा के लिए एक बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। ध्यान चार्जिंग इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का विस्तार करने, प्रोत्साहन को मजबूत करने और लद्दाख की अनूठी परिस्थितियों के अनुकूल स्थायी गतिशीलता को बढ़ावा देने पर था। चर्चाओं में ईवी फंड के लिए प्रदूषण उपकर का उपयोग करना और ईंधन स्टेशनों पर चार्जिंग सुविधाओं को एकीकृत करना शामिल था। कुंद्रा ने डेटा-संचालित दृष्टिकोण की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया, व्यावहारिक प्रोत्साहन और एक चरणबद्ध संक्रमण रणनीति विकसित करने के लिए वाहन बेड़े, पंजीकरण, लागत और बिक्री के बाद की सेवाओं के आकलन की मांग की।
