Amaravati to Inaugurate Advanced Quantum Computing Facility in Feb 2027

Amaravati is set to become a significant hub for quantum computing in India with the upcoming inauguration of a state-of-the-art Quantum Computer Centre in February 2027. The Andhra Pradesh government will hand over the building to IBM in October, allowing the company to install its advanced Quantum System Two. Parts of the machine have already arrived, with commissioning expected by early 2027. This facility will provide domestic access to cutting-edge quantum hardware for researchers, universities, and businesses, fostering Indian expertise in quantum algorithms and applications.
