India's first NARI 2025 index surveyed 12,770 women across 31 cities to measure perceived safety. Kohima, Nagaland, topped the index with 82.9 percent, excelling in community trust and active neighbourhood watch groups. Aizawl also ranked high due to strong community networks and trusted police presence. Four Northeast cities, including Gangtok and Itanagar, were among the safest, highlighting gender-sensitive governance and inclusive local participation.

भारत के पहले NARI 2025 इंडेक्स में 31 शहरों की 12,770 महिलाओं का सर्वे किया गया ताकि उनकी सुरक्षा की भावना मापी जा सके। कोहिमा, नागालैंड 82.9% के साथ सबसे ऊपर रहा, जहाँ सामुदायिक विश्वास और सक्रिय निगरानी समूह सबसे अच्छे पाए गए। आइज़वाल भी मजबूत सामुदायिक नेटवर्क और भरोसेमंद पुलिस की मौजूदगी के कारण ऊँचे स्थान पर रहा। गंगटोक और ईटानगर सहित पूर्वोत्तर के चार शहर सबसे सुरक्षित शहरों में से थे।
