Rising US bond yields above 5.10% and Brent crude prices over $102 a barrel impacted investor sentiment. A proposal by Irda on insurance commissions also triggered a sell-off in financial stocks, pushing the Bank Nifty below 56,000. Selling was broad-based across sectors.

गुरुवार को भारतीय शेयर बाज़ारों में भारी गिरावट देखी गई। Nifty 50, 1.64% गिरकर 23,063.10 पर और Sensex, 1.67% गिरकर 73,580.54 पर बंद हुआ। अमेरिका में बॉन्ड यील्ड का 5.10% से ऊपर जाना और Brent क्रूड का $102 प्रति बैरल से ज़्यादा होना निवेशकों के लिए चिंता का विषय रहा। Irda के बीमा कमीशन प्रस्ताव ने भी वित्तीय शेयरों में बिकवाली को बढ़ावा दिया, जिससे Bank Nifty 56,000 के नीचे चला गया। सभी सेक्टरों में बिकवाली हुई।
