Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar Accuses Opposition of Misleading Public on Electoral Roll Revision

Union Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar has accused the Congress and other opposition parties, including Rahul Gandhi, of spreading misinformation regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Majumdar stated that the opposition is attempting to discredit the Election Commission without evidence, comparing it to their previous blame on EVMs. He clarified that figures cited by the opposition included deceased voters, those who had shifted, and duplicate entries, all verified by Booth Level Officers.

शिक्षा राज्य मंत्री सुकांता मजूमदार ने कांग्रेस और राहुल गांधी समेत अन्य विपक्षी दलों पर मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) को लेकर गलत सूचना फैलाने का आरोप लगाया है। मजूमदार ने कहा कि विपक्ष बिना सबूत के चुनाव आयोग को बदनाम करने की कोशिश कर रहा है, ठीक वैसे ही जैसे उन्होंने पहले EVM पर किया था। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि विपक्ष द्वारा बताए गए आंकड़ों में मृत मतदाता, स्थानांतरित हुए लोग और डुप्लीकेट एंट्री शामिल थे, जिनकी बूथ स्तर के अधिकारियों द्वारा पुष्टि की गई थी।
