An Italian jewellery designer, Daniela De Pietri, travelled to Gurugram, India, to file a police complaint against a man she met online. The 50-year-old claims the man, who posed as a jewellery designer and AI film creator, convinced her they were in a relationship and promised marriage. He allegedly persuaded her to send him €900, which she transferred in August and September. De Pietri stated that the money is less important than the emotional betrayal and the desire to prevent others from becoming victims.
