Kerala Transport Minister Assures Support For Private Bus Sector

Kerala's Transport Minister C.P. John has assured the state assembly that the government is committed to supporting the private bus sector. He stated that the government has no intention of abandoning private operators, acknowledging the financial crisis that began during the Covid-19 pandemic. To aid the sector, the government reduced taxation by 50% and is willing to take private buses on a wet-lease basis through KSRTC.
