The program promotes indigenous organic cotton cultivation, traditional spinning, and handloom weaving, creating livelihood opportunities for rural women. Modi specifically highlighted four weavers, noting the positive economic shift in their lives from previous low-paying labour. Nav-Trinjan, launched eight years ago, aims to revive Punjab's heritage and empower women through their skills. The initiative plans to expand its network and build a supply chain linking farmers, weavers, and consumers.
