Prakash Raj Demands Scrapping of Special Intensive Revision of Voter Rolls

Actor and activist Prakash Raj has called for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to be scrapped and the voter list restored, undoing 13 crore deletions. He also demanded the reversal of the Chief Election Commissioner and Other Election Commissioners Act, 2023, and the removal of judicial immunity for the CEC. Raj cited an investigation in Karnataka revealing arbitrary voter deletions, particularly affecting the poor, Adivasi, and women. He urged the Supreme Court to examine all Election Commission files since 2023.
