Inundated roads and residential areas have disrupted access to essential services like schools and workplaces, forcing some families to relocate belongings and use boats for transport. Residents are facing challenges with power outages and the presence of snakes and insects in the floodwaters. The irrigation department expects water levels to recede within 24 hours, with BKT and Faizullaganj likely to see relief first.

गोमती नदी के उफान के कारण लखनऊ के फैज़ुल्लागंज और बख्शी का तालाब (BKT) समेत आसपास के इलाकों में एक लाख से ज़्यादा लोग बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुए हैं। सड़कों और रिहायशी इलाकों में पानी भर जाने से स्कूल और दफ्तरों जैसी ज़रूरी सेवाओं तक पहुंच मुश्किल हो गई है, और कुछ परिवारों को अपना सामान हटाना पड़ा है और नावों से आना-जाना पड़ रहा है। बाढ़ के पानी में बिजली कटौती और सांप-कीड़ों के होने से भी लोग परेशान हैं। सिंचाई विभाग को उम्मीद है कि 24 घंटे में पानी का स्तर कम हो जाएगा, और सबसे पहले BKT और फैज़ुल्लागंज में राहत मिलने की संभावना है।
