Surrendered Maoist Found Dead in Chhattisgarh Rehabilitation Facility

A 26-year-old surrendered Maoist, Narsu Boddu, was found dead by hanging in a government rehabilitation facility in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Fellow inmates alerted the police around 7 a.m. after discovering him in a bathroom. Boddu was a section deputy commander before his surrender in February 2024 and was nearing completion of vocational training. The reason for his alleged suicide is currently unknown, and police are investigating the matter. Boddu is survived by his father, wife, and two children.

बुधवार, 21 अक्टूबर 2026 को छत्तीसगढ़ के बीजापुर में एक सरकारी पुनर्वास केंद्र में 26 वर्षीय सरेंडर नक्सली नरसु बोड्डू का शव लटका हुआ मिला। सुबह करीब 7 बजे साथी कैदियों ने उसे बाथरूम में देखकर पुलिस को सूचना दी। बोड्डू फरवरी 2024 में सरेंडर करने से पहले एक सेक्शन डिप्टी कमांडर था और वोकेशनल ट्रेनिंग पूरी करने वाला था। उसकी कथित आत्महत्या का कारण फिलहाल पता नहीं चला है और पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है। बोड्डू के पिता, पत्नी और दो बच्चे हैं।
