A political controversy has erupted at Dhaka University over the display of photos of Pakistan founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah and former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Ghulam Azam. Critics accuse the Jamaat's student wing, Shibir, of attempting to alter the university's historical narrative. Student Muhammad Abu Tayab tore down the pictures, protesting their presence alongside a lack of photos of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
