Former Pakistan player Kamran Akmal believes India should use such series to groom backup players like Sooryavanshi. He questioned why established players like Bumrah are playing while others are rested. Meanwhile, spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been ruled out of the series with a side strain, making him doubtful for the upcoming Asian Games.
