Woman Shot Dead By Brother-In-Law Over Land Dispute In Bihar's Bhojpur

A 36-year-old woman, Seema Devi, was shot dead allegedly by her husband's elder brother in Bhojpur district, Bihar, on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at her home in Agiaon village following a dispute over ancestral land. Preliminary investigations suggest the killing stemmed from a disagreement over a piece of land in the local market. The accused, identified as Suman Rai, is currently absconding, and police are conducting raids to apprehend him. The victim's daughter claimed her uncle had previously threatened her mother.

बिहार के भोजपुर जिले में बुधवार सुबह एक 36 वर्षीय महिला, सीमा देवी, की कथित तौर पर उसके पति के बड़े भाई ने गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी। यह घटना पैतृक ज़मीन को लेकर विवाद के बाद अगियाओं गांव में उसके घर पर हुई। शुरुआती जांच से पता चलता है कि यह हत्या स्थानीय बाज़ार में ज़मीन के एक टुकड़े को लेकर हुए झगड़े के कारण हुई। आरोपी, जिसकी पहचान सुमन राय के रूप में हुई है, फिलहाल फरार है और पुलिस उसे पकड़ने के लिए छापेमारी कर रही है। पीड़ित की बेटी ने दावा किया कि उसके चाचा ने पहले उसकी माँ को धमकी दी थी।
