This directive comes after a three-year legal battle concerning procedural missteps in the recruitment process, including issues with reservation policies. The court expressed anguish over bureaucratic delays, noting that nearly five years have passed since the advertisement was issued in September 2020. पटना हाईकोर्ट ने बिहार राज्य विश्वविद्यालय सेवा आयोग (BSUSC) को इतिहास और भूगोल में सहायक प्रोफेसर पदों के लिए चयनित उम्मीदवारों को नियुक्ति पत्र जारी करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह निर्देश भर्ती प्रक्रिया में प्रक्रियात्मक गलतियों, जिसमें आरक्षण नीतियों से जुड़े मुद्दे भी शामिल थे, को लेकर तीन साल की कानूनी लड़ाई के बाद आया है। अदालत ने नौकरशाही की देरी पर नाराजगी जताई, यह देखते हुए कि सितंबर 2020 में विज्ञापन जारी होने के बाद से लगभग पांच साल बीत चुके हैं। कई उम्मीदवार आयु सीमा के करीब हैं या उसे पार कर चुके हैं, जिससे उनकी रोजगार की संभावनाएं खतरे में पड़ गई हैं।
