Democrat Pia Dandiya secured a seat in the US House of Representatives, while incumbent Suhas Subramanyam was re-elected. Maryland Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller also won another term. However, Republican Vivek Ramaswamy lost his bid for Ohio governor. Several other candidates of Indian origin faced defeat, with some congressional and local races still awaiting final counts.
