Indian Railways reported a 6.14% increase in freight loading for September 2026 compared to the same month in 2025, transporting 135.35 million tonnes. Key commodity segments like foodgrain, clinker, domestic containers, and coal saw significant growth. The average daily supply of coal rakes to power houses also rose by 11.6%. Freight revenue for September 2026 saw a 9.3% increase, amounting to ₹1,266 crore. Cumulatively, April-September 2026 saw 4.1% freight growth and 3.7% revenue growth.

भारतीय रेलवे ने सितंबर 2026 में पिछले साल के इसी महीने की तुलना में माल ढुलाई में 6.14% की वृद्धि दर्ज की, जिससे 135.35 मिलियन टन माल ढोया गया। खाद्य अनाज, क्लिंकर, घरेलू कंटेनर और कोयला जैसे प्रमुख कमोडिटी सेगमेंट में महत्वपूर्ण वृद्धि देखी गई। बिजली घरों को कोयले के रैक की औसत दैनिक आपूर्ति में भी 11.6% की वृद्धि हुई। सितंबर 2026 में माल ढुलाई राजस्व में 9.3% की वृद्धि हुई, जो ₹1,266 करोड़ रहा। अप्रैल-सितंबर 2026 में कुल मिलाकर 4.1% माल ढुलाई वृद्धि और 3.7% राजस्व वृद्धि देखी गई।
