The 18k yellow-gold Reference 6239, featuring a black and champagne "Paul Newman" dial, significantly surpassed its estimated value of CHF 300,000 to CHF 600,000. This sale highlights the extreme rarity of early yellow-gold Daytonas with the sought-after Paul Newman dial, with only about 300 gold versions produced and few resurfacing.
