UP STF Arrests Jaipur Man in Multi-Crore Fake ITC Scam

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a 48-year-old man from Jaipur for his alleged involvement in a gang that defrauded the government of crores of rupees. The accused, Ankur Kanda, was wanted in a case registered in 2023 concerning cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy. The gang allegedly used fake firms and forged e-way bills to fraudulently claim input tax credit (ITC). Kanda disclosed that they operated a bitumen trading firm and used forged documents to obtain GST registrations and issue fake bills.

उत्तर प्रदेश स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स (एसटीएफ) ने जयपुर से 48 वर्षीय एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है, जो कथित तौर पर सरकार को करोड़ों रुपये का चूना लगाने वाले गिरोह में शामिल था। आरोपी, अंकुर कांडा, 2023 में धोखाधड़ी, जालसाजी और आपराधिक साजिश से जुड़े एक मामले में वांछित था। गिरोह कथित तौर पर नकली फर्मों और जाली ई-वे बिलों का इस्तेमाल करके इनपुट टैक्स क्रेडिट (आईटीसी) का धोखाधड़ी से दावा करता था। कांडा ने खुलासा किया कि वे बिटुमेन ट्रेडिंग फर्म चलाते थे और जीएसटी पंजीकरण प्राप्त करने और नकली बिल जारी करने के लिए जाली दस्तावेजों का इस्तेमाल करते थे।
