The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the investigation into the murder of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota. A CBI team reached Mansa, Punjab, on Tuesday night to collect records and seizures related to the case. This decision follows a statement by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that the state government would hand over the probe as per the family's request. Forensic experts and other specialists are also en route to Mansa.
