Google Data Centre Project Gets Approval After Due Diligence in Visakhapatnam

The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) informed the High Court that Google's hyperscale data centre project in Visakhapatnam has undergone due diligence. The detailed project report and land allotment proposal were reviewed by state committees and the Council of Ministers. APIIC clarified that 160 acres belonging to a temple were allotted after clearance, with ownership remaining with the Endowments Department. The project's economic impact and Andhra Pradesh's investment competitiveness were cited as reasons for necessary incentives.

आंध्र प्रदेश इंडस्ट्रियल इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर कॉर्पोरेशन (APIIC) ने हाई कोर्ट को बताया कि विशाखापत्तनम में गूगल के हाइपरस्केल डेटा सेंटर प्रोजेक्ट की पूरी जांच-पड़ताल हो चुकी है। राज्य की समितियों और मंत्रिपरिषद ने विस्तृत प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट और जमीन आवंटन प्रस्ताव की समीक्षा की थी। APIIC ने साफ किया कि मंदिर की 160 एकड़ जमीन मंजूरी के बाद आवंटित की गई थी, जिसका मालिकाना हक एंडोमेंट्स डिपार्टमेंट के पास ही रहेगा। प्रोजेक्ट के आर्थिक प्रभाव और आंध्र प्रदेश की निवेश प्रतिस्पर्धा को देखते हुए जरूरी प्रोत्साहन दिए गए।
