पश्चिम बंगाल में दुर्गा पूजा का अंदाज़ बिलकुल अलग होता है। वहाँ माँ दुर्गा को सिर्फ देवी नहीं, बल्कि घर लौटी बेटी की तरह पूजा जाता है। इस सोच की वजह से पूजा का पूरा माहौल ही बदल जाता है। जहाँ आम मेहमानों का स्वागत बहुत आदर-सत्कार से होता है, वहीं माँ दुर्गा का आना एक पारिवारिक मिलन जैसा माना जाता है।
