Nine Held For Hunting Blackbuck, Rifle Seized

Nine individuals were arrested for hunting a blackbuck in the Marikal forest area and transporting approximately 13 kg of its meat. Authorities intercepted the group near Raikal Toll Plaza, seizing a.315 rifle with a telescopic sight and silencer, ammunition, two vehicles, and cash. A country-made gun was also recovered from an accused's home. The arrests were made in a joint operation by police and forest officials. A case has been registered under the Wildlife Protection Act and the Arms Act.
