Goa Seeks Life Term For Tarun Tejpal

Goa has appealed to the Supreme Court, arguing that the 10-year sentence given to former Tehelka journalist Tarun Tejpal is insufficient punishment. Earlier this month, the Bombay High Court's Goa Bench convicted Tejpal for raping a colleague in 2013, overturning a prior acquittal. The High Court had sentenced him to a decade in prison.
