Asian countries, including India, must speed up their shift to renewable energy and lead the Global South's climate response, according to a climate activist. Discussions at Bangkok Climate Action Week highlighted the global suffering caused by a fossil-fuel economy, emphasizing the need for leading by example. Experts stressed that while progress exists in South and Southeast Asia, greater regional coordination is vital for sharing best practices. The talks also focused on developing a just energy transition roadmap and strengthening cooperation ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference.
