ICMR Study Links Well Water to Brain Infection

A recent ICMR study has identified well water as a significant risk factor for amoebic meningoencephalitis in Keralam. This case-control study provides the first scientific evidence of the questionable quality of well water, which is a primary source for bathing and domestic use for a large population in the region.

आईसीएमआर (ICMR) की एक नई स्टडी में पता चला है कि केरल में कुओं का पानी अमीबिक मेनिंगोएन्सेफलाइटिस का एक बड़ा कारण है। यह पहली बार है जब वैज्ञानिक तौर पर साबित हुआ है कि कुओं के पानी की क्वालिटी ठीक नहीं है। इस इलाके में बहुत से लोग नहाने और घर के कामों के लिए इसी पानी का इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
