This directive follows hundreds of eye injuries reported last Diwali due to these locally manufactured devices. District collectors and superintendents of police will be held responsible for any untoward incidents in their jurisdictions. The government aims to prevent serious injuries to the eyes, face, and skin caused by the explosive nature of carbide guns. Additionally, authorities will curb illegal firecracker sales and ensure emergency preparedness.

मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव ने आने वाले त्योहारी सीजन में कार्बाइड गन और लैंप पर सख्त कार्रवाई का आदेश दिया है। यह निर्देश स्थानीय रूप से निर्मित इन उपकरणों के कारण पिछले दिवाली पर सैकड़ों आंखों में चोट लगने की रिपोर्टों के बाद आया है। जिला कलेक्टरों और पुलिस अधीक्षकों को उनके अधिकार क्षेत्र में किसी भी अप्रिय घटना के लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराया जाएगा। सरकार का लक्ष्य कार्बाइड गन की विस्फोटक प्रकृति के कारण आंखों, चेहरे और त्वचा को गंभीर चोटों से बचाना है। इसके अतिरिक्त, अधिकारी अवैध पटाखों की बिक्री पर अंकुश लगाएंगे और आपातकालीन तैयारियों को सुनिश्चित करेंगे।
