The Kerala High Court has reserved its verdict on a petition seeking an FIR against Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter Veena, and son-in-law Riyas in the CMRL-Exalogic payoff case. The court is examining whether a preliminary inquiry is necessary before registering an FIR, noting that ED reports can sometimes substitute for such inquiries. The Enforcement Directorate shared information with the State Police Chief regarding a predicate offense allegedly committed by Veena and her company.
