UK MP Raises Concern Over Missing Indian National

An Indian academic, Dr. Anirban Bhattacharyya, has been reported missing in Nepal following severe floods. His UK MP, Ian Lavery, highlighted in the House of Commons that authorities allegedly denied assistance because Dr. Bhattacharyya held an Indian passport, not a British one. The 66-year-old research associate from Newcastle University has lived in Britain for over 60 years.
