A 45-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district was arrested after allegedly shooting his 18-year-old daughter for wanting to marry a man of her choice. The incident occurred on Monday, leaving the teenager critically injured with a bullet wound to the back of her head. The accused, identified as Aseen Khan, also reportedly attempted to shoot his wife and other daughters, who managed to escape by locking themselves in another room. The injured woman was initially taken to a local hospital and later referred to Saifai Medical College and Hospital.
