RBI Mandates New Forex Reporting For YouTubers, Freelancers

The Reserve Bank of India has introduced a new rule effective, for freelancers, content creators, YouTubers, and consultants earning from foreign clients. This regulation requires them to disclose their earnings differently, specifically concerning foreign exchange reporting and documentation. Service exporters must now submit an EDF detailing the value of exported services. This applies to earnings received through platforms like YouTube, AdSense, Upwork, Fiverr, or Meta from international clients.

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने विदेशी क्लाइंट्स से कमाई करने वाले फ्रीलांसर्स, कंटेंट क्रिएटर्स, यूट्यूबर्स और कंसल्टेंट्स के लिए एक नया नियम लागू किया है। इस नियम के तहत उन्हें विदेशी मुद्रा रिपोर्टिंग और डॉक्यूमेंटेशन के संबंध में अपनी कमाई का अलग तरह से खुलासा करना होगा। सर्विस एक्सपोर्टर्स को अब निर्यात की गई सेवाओं के मूल्य का विवरण देने वाला EDF जमा करना होगा। यह YouTube, AdSense, Upwork, Fiverr, या Meta जैसे प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्लाइंट्स से प्राप्त आय पर लागू होता है।
