Ahead of Deepavali, the Tamil Nadu government has launched the 'Vetri Special Vegetable Pack' scheme, offering a combo of 10 essential vegetables for ₹100. This initiative aims to protect consumers from open-market price fluctuations during the festival season. The scheme will be available for three days, from November 5 to 7, across 218 cooperative outlets and four mobile units in Chennai. Each eco-friendly pack weighs approximately 2.55 kg and contains items like onions, tomatoes, and potatoes. The government is procuring vegetables directly from farmers to ensure affordability.

दीपावली से पहले, तमिलनाडु सरकार ने 'वेट्री स्पेशल वेजिटेबल पैक' योजना शुरू की है, जिसमें ₹100 में 10 जरूरी सब्जियों का कॉम्बो मिलेगा। इस पहल का मकसद त्योहारी सीजन में उपभोक्ताओं को खुले बाजार के दाम में उतार-चढ़ाव से बचाना है। यह योजना 5 नवंबर से 7 नवंबर तक तीन दिनों के लिए चेन्नई में 218 सहकारी आउटलेट और चार मोबाइल यूनिट में उपलब्ध रहेगी। हर इको-फ्रेंडली पैक का वजन लगभग 2.55 किलोग्राम है और इसमें प्याज, टमाटर और आलू जैसी चीजें शामिल हैं। सरकार किसानों से सीधे सब्जियां खरीद रही है ताकि दाम किफायती रहें।
