West Bengal politics has heated up following a statement by Humayun Kabir, founder and AJUP. Kabir stated he would pray for Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari's "early departure" and ask Allah to "book his ticket." He also accused Adhikari of becoming arrogant after gaining power and alleged that minorities are being harassed under his government. The BJP strongly condemned Kabir's remarks, with state health minister Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay calling the political discourse in the state extremely low.
