Former Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar stated that anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota had initiated a movement that Punjab has struggled to advance effectively. Jakhar paid tribute to Jhota at a Mansa protest site, acknowledging his sacrifice in the fight against drugs and pledging to carry it forward. He criticized the Bhagwant Mann government for its perceived inaction on the drug crisis, which he believes endangers Punjab's youth and future.
