BJP Candidate Files Police Complaint Against Ajmal For 'Murderer' Remark
Times of India · politics
BJP's Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll candidate Devashish Sharma has filed a police complaint against AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal. Sharma accuses Ajmal of calling him a "murderer" and "killer" during campaign speeches, alleging the remarks aim for communal polarisation and violate the model code of conduct. The dispute is linked to the disappearance of a woman declared a foreigner and sent to Bangladesh. Sharma, a former district commissioner, denies any criminal record and seeks to bar Ajmal from campaigning. Police are investigating the complaint.
