Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh on Thursday, October 28, 2026, following Cyclone Arnab. He assured them of full assistance to alleviate public hardship caused by the disaster. The India Meteorological Department reported the severe cyclonic storm had weakened into a cyclonic storm and was expected to further weaken. National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force teams are actively engaged in rescue and relief operations, with inter-ministerial central teams to be dispatched soon to assess the situation.

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने गुरुवार, 28 अक्टूबर 2026 को चक्रवात अर्नाब के बाद आंध्र प्रदेश, पुडुचेरी, ओडिशा और छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्रियों से बात की। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि आपदा से हुई जनहानि को कम करने के लिए हर संभव सहायता दी जाएगी। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने बताया कि गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान कमजोर होकर चक्रवाती तूफान में बदल गया है और इसके और कमजोर पड़ने की उम्मीद है। राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रतिक्रिया बल (NDRF) और राज्य आपदा प्रतिक्रिया बल (SDRF) की टीमें बचाव और राहत कार्यों में सक्रिय रूप से लगी हुई हैं, और स्थिति का आकलन करने के लिए जल्द ही अंतर-मंत्रालयी केंद्रीय टीमों को भेजा जाएगा।
