The government has clarified that no decision has been made to increase ethanol blending in petrol beyond the current twenty percent target. Reports suggesting the discontinuation of lower-blended or pure petrol at select outlets are inaccurate. सरकार ने साफ कर दिया है कि पेट्रोल में इथेनॉल की मौजूदा 20% की सीमा से आगे इसे मिलाने का कोई फैसला नहीं हुआ है। ऐसी खबरें गलत हैं कि कुछ जगहों पर कम इथेनॉल वाला या बिना इथेनॉल वाला पेट्रोल मिलना बंद हो जाएगा। भविष्य में डीजल में इथेनॉल मिलाने की कोई भी योजना पूरी जांच और संबंधित पक्षों से बातचीत के बाद ही तय होगी।
