Pandit Nehru Bus Station in Vijayawada is experiencing a significant surge in passenger traffic as people travel to their hometowns for the Dasara festival. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has deployed 5,261 special buses to manage the festive rush. These services operate in two phases, from October 16-19 and October 20-25, to facilitate both onward and return journeys. The increased passenger numbers are attributed to school holidays and the auspicious Moola Nakshatram, which also draws devotees to the Kanaka Durga temple.
