Bengaluru Pollution Lab Faces Probe After Surprise Inspection

Karnataka Forest Minister Ramalinga Reddy conducted a surprise inspection at Bengaluru Analytics and Research Laboratory Private Limited on Saturday. The lab, responsible for testing water, air, and noise pollution, was found to be operating with fewer analysts than mandated and charging significantly lower fees than prescribed. Discrepancies were also noted between field data and final reports for noise pollution analysis.

कर्नाटक के वन मंत्री रामलिंग रेड्डी ने शनिवार को बेंगलुरु एनालिटिक्स एंड रिसर्च लैबोरेटरी प्राइवेट लिमिटेड का अचानक निरीक्षण किया। पानी, हवा और ध्वनि प्रदूषण की जांच करने वाली इस लैब में तय संख्या से कम विश्लेषक मिले और निर्धारित शुल्क से काफी कम पैसे लिए जा रहे थे। ध्वनि प्रदूषण की रिपोर्ट में भी फील्ड डेटा और अंतिम रिपोर्ट के बीच अंतर पाया गया।
