Cheetah Shot Dead in Kuno National Park; Protesters Demand CBI Probe

Protesters in Sheopur demonstrated at the district collectorate against the shooting of a cheetah in Kuno National Park. The Kuno Sangharsh Samiti submitted a memorandum to the President demanding a CBI investigation into the incident. They also called for action against officials responsible for alleged negligence in forest security and a high-level inquiry into illegal forest felling. The committee further requested an investigation into the network of poachers involved.

कूनो नेशनल पार्क में एक चीते को गोली मारे जाने के विरोध में शिवपुर में प्रदर्शनकारियों ने जिला कलेक्ट्रेट पर प्रदर्शन किया। कूनो संघर्ष समिति ने राष्ट्रपति को एक ज्ञापन सौंपा, जिसमें घटना की सीबीआई जांच की मांग की गई है। उन्होंने वन सुरक्षा में कथित लापरवाही के लिए जिम्मेदार अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई और अवैध कटाई की उच्च स्तरीय जांच की भी मांग की। समिति ने शिकारियों के नेटवर्क की जांच का भी अनुरोध किया है।
