BJP Slams Congress Over Electoral Roll Issue

The Bharatiya Janata Party has accused the Congress of engaging in "shoot and scoot" politics regarding electoral rolls. BJP spokesperson Pradip Bhandari stated that Rahul Gandhi has not filed a formal complaint or submitted an affidavit concerning his allegations of "1 lakh bogus voters" in Karnataka. This response comes after Congress claimed the Election Commission decided to provide readable electoral rolls due to nationwide protests against alleged vote manipulation. Congress had been demanding searchable electoral rolls for over two years, a demand they claim was previously refused.

भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने कांग्रेस पर चुनावी सूचियों को लेकर "शूट एंड स्कूट" की राजनीति करने का आरोप लगाया है। भाजपा प्रवक्ता प्रदीप भंडारी ने कहा कि राहुल गांधी ने कर्नाटक में "1 लाख फर्जी मतदाताओं" के अपने आरोपों के संबंध में कोई औपचारिक शिकायत दर्ज नहीं कराई है और न ही कोई हलफनामा सौंपा है। यह प्रतिक्रिया कांग्रेस के इस दावे के बाद आई है कि चुनाव आयोग ने कथित वोट में हेरफेर के खिलाफ राष्ट्रव्यापी विरोध प्रदर्शनों के कारण पठनीय चुनावी सूचियां प्रदान करने का फैसला किया है। कांग्रेस दो साल से अधिक समय से खोजने योग्य चुनावी सूचियों की मांग कर रही थी, जिसकी मांग उन्होंने पहले ठुकरा दी थी।
