The Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2026 (SIM-26) saw approximately 10,000 participants in Mumbai on Sunday, with simultaneous events held across seven other cities. Organized by Headquarters Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force, the marathon aimed to promote fitness, courage, and national pride. It commemorated the bravery of Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, a Param Vir Chakra awardee, and aligned with the government's Fit India Movement. Senior citizens and youth actively participated, with India's U-19 cricket captain Ayush Mhatre presenting awards.

रविवार को मुंबई में लगभग 10,000 धावकों ने सेखोन इंडियन एयर फ़ोर्स मैराथन 2026 (SIM-26) में भाग लिया, साथ ही सात अन्य शहरों में भी ऐसे ही कार्यक्रम हुए। भारतीय वायु सेना के हेडक्वार्टर मेंटेनेंस कमांड द्वारा आयोजित इस मैराथन का मकसद फिटनेस, साहस और राष्ट्रीय गौरव को बढ़ावा देना था। यह परमवीर चक्र विजेता फ्लाइंग ऑफिसर निर्मल जीत सिंह सेखोन की बहादुरी की याद में आयोजित किया गया था और सरकार के फिट इंडिया मूवमेंट के अनुरूप था। वरिष्ठ नागरिकों और युवाओं ने बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया, और भारत के अंडर-19 क्रिकेट कप्तान आयुष म्हात्रे ने पुरस्कार वितरित किए।
