Police have arrested a 42-year-old man, Madan Gajanan Dalai, who was on the run for two months after allegedly murdering his 65-year-old mother. Her body was discovered buried in a cement structure in the kitchen of their rented house in Puri city, following complaints of a foul stench. The accused was apprehended in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, where he was working under a false identity. The motive behind the crime remains unclear, with the accused claiming his mother died naturally, a story investigators doubt. Further interrogation is planned.
