Author-artist Manjula Padmanabhan has released "Zone", the final book in her "Meiji" trilogy, ten years after the second instalment. The concluding volume follows Meiji's journey across the continent known as Africa in a lawless future. In "Zone", Meiji is the sole surviving young woman of her birth-culture and seeks to escape societal expectations. Accompanied by a transwoman and giant birds, she navigates challenges and confronts her inner demons. Newly rejacketed editions of the first two books, "Escape" and "The Island of Lost Girls", are also available.
