Approximately $6.8 trillion of this will be separate from their usual expenditures. This massive investment raises questions about whether these firms can recoup their costs, especially as some neo-cloud companies like CoreWeave have shown recent bond weakness. However, analysts suggest this pressure doesn't signify a failure of AI investment, as neo-cloud firms represent only a small fraction of the overall AI data center spending.
