AI could enable more responsive transit systems and integrate various transport modes through open data and common standards. However, technology alone is insufficient, as effective governance, institutional capacity, and trained personnel are crucial for implementing these AI-driven solutions. Broader urban planning challenges, including job concentration and high housing costs, also hinder concepts like the '15-minute city'.

मोबिलिटी सिम्पोजियम 2026 के विशेषज्ञों ने कहा कि आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) बस रूट को ऑप्टिमाइज़ करके और रियल-टाइम पैसेंजर डिमांड के हिसाब से सर्विस एडजस्ट करके बेंगलुरु के पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट को काफी बेहतर बना सकता है। AI से ओपन डेटा और कॉमन स्टैंडर्ड्स के ज़रिए ज़्यादा रेस्पॉन्सिव ट्रांजिट सिस्टम बन सकते हैं और अलग-अलग ट्रांसपोर्ट मोड इंटीग्रेट हो सकते हैं। लेकिन, सिर्फ टेक्नोलॉजी काफी नहीं है, इन AI-ड्रिवन सॉल्यूशंस को लागू करने के लिए इफेक्टिव गवर्नेंस, इंस्टिट्यूशनल कैपेसिटी और ट्रेंड पर्सनेल बहुत ज़रूरी हैं। जॉब कंसंट्रेशन और हाई हाउसिंग कॉस्ट जैसी बड़ी अर्बन प्लानिंग की दिक्कतें '15-मिनट सिटी' जैसे कॉन्सेप्ट्स में भी रुकावट डालती हैं।
