Dhanbad Officer Receives Rs 1 Crore Extortion Threat

Dhanbad Sadar circle officer Rampravesh Kumar has filed an FIR after receiving an extortion demand of Rs 1 crore via WhatsApp. The messages, sent earlier this month, threatened Kumar with shooting if the money was not paid, alleging he earned through land dealings. Police are investigating the case, noting the sender used a stolen phone and multiple different individuals' bank and UPI accounts. Technical analysis is underway to identify the perpetrator and any links between the account holders and the extortion attempt.

धनबाद सदर सर्किल ऑफिसर रामप्रवेश कुमार को व्हाट्सएप पर 1 करोड़ रुपये की रंगदारी मांगने का मैसेज आया है। इस महीने की शुरुआत में भेजे गए इन मैसेज में धमकी दी गई है कि अगर पैसे नहीं दिए तो उन्हें गोली मार दी जाएगी। आरोप है कि उन्होंने जमीन के सौदों से पैसा कमाया है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है। पता चला है कि मैसेज भेजने वाले ने चोरी का फोन इस्तेमाल किया और कई लोगों के बैंक और UPI अकाउंट का भी दुरुपयोग किया। अपराधी की पहचान के लिए तकनीकी जांच चल रही है।
