NADA Forms Secondary Testing Pool for Athletes

Sportstar · sports

The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has established a Secondary Testing Pool (STP) with 48 athletes from five sports, including athletics, boxing, judo, wrestling, and weightlifting. This pool operates under World Anti-Doping regulations and serves as an additional measure to manage testing without excessively expanding the Registered Testing Pool. Unlike the RTP, athletes in the STP do not need to provide a specific one-hour window daily for sample collection. NADA plans to expand the STP in the future, particularly noting the low number of athletes from athletics.
